Lenovo’s VP, Chang Cheng, has just teased the company’s upcoming smartphone via its official Weibo (Chinese social network) page. In his post, Mr. Cheng said that the phone will sport a 95-percent screen-to-body ratio, at least, and thanks to an image he shared, we can also see that the phone will not sport a display notch. Now, according to the shared image, the device will sport no bezels above the display, or on its sides, but a small ‘chin’ will probably be included below the phone’s display, even though that part of the device has not been shown in the provided image.
Now, thanks to this image, we can also see that the display of this handset will sport rounded corners, and that there will be no physical keys on its left side, which probably means all the physical buttons will be included on the right. Now, there’s a reason this image of the device left only number “14” and “6” visible, as the phone is expected to arrive on June 14. That is pretty much all the info that Mr. Cheng shared about the device, and it seems like this will be Lenovo’s first ‘bezel-less’ handset. Lenovo did not really announce any new smartphones for quite some time now, let alone a high-end one. This handset, by the looks of the provided image, will not only offer a really sleek design which differentiates it from pretty much every other phone that the company introduced in the past, but it will also probably ship with high-end specifications, which is not something we’re used to seeing when it comes to Lenovo’s smartphones.
Mr. Cheng did not share any spec info for the provided handset, but if we had to guess, we’d say that the phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor, and that it will ship with at least 6GB of RAM on the inside. You can expect to see at least 64GB of storage included here as well, while the device will probably ship with Android Oreo out of the box, with Lenovo’s custom UI on top of it. This phone will probably include a rather large display as well, especially considering its bezels will be extremely thin, and the phone will probably utilize on-screen buttons. Two cameras will probably be included on the back of this phone, and the device will either ship with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, or an in-display one, we’ll see.
