Most of us would do happy cartwheels if Chevrolet gave us a Corvette or Camaro to drive for free. Heck, most of us would do cartwheels if any car company gave us a free car, but the guys at Manchester United aren't as excited as you'd expect at the prospect of driving Chevy's finest. The company became the official sponsor of the high-profile football team with a $75.2 million deal that gets the Chevy Bowtie on the team's jerseys and gives them a fleet of 15 cars to drive. Yes, they have access to a bunch of Corvettes and Camaros and they are simply choosing to stick with their own cars. Now, to be fair, it's not like these guys are driving cars from the bottom of the barrel. You'll see them in Porsches, Range Rovers, and Bentleys as a rule, but it's still surprising that none of them are driving cars from the fleet of Chevys that were delivered back in April. The Daily Mail says that the cars aren't sitting completely unused, but are instead being driven by workers at the team's Carrington training ground. Although this is pretty cool for the folks at Carrington, somehow we don't think Chevy was hoping for shots of unknown guys driving their cars but were aiming more to see them being driven by a few football stars. As disappointing as this may be for Chevy, there's nothing that says the players have to drive the Camaros or Corvettes that were provided. The deal put the cars at their disposal, but doesn't stipulate that they actual have to drive them. Why they wouldn't take them out at all is beyond us. Sure, it might not be practical for family outings, but come on, who wouldn't want to spent a little time behind the wheel of a Corvette or Camaro? What are these guys thinking?
