The Xiaomi Mi 6X is the company’s upcoming mid-ranger, and it just surfaced in real life hands-on images. Up until now, we’ve seen the phone’s backplate, and some cases that are allegedly made for the phone. Well, this time around, we have real life images of the phone, though we still cannot confirm this is the real Xiaomi Mi 6X, of course. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you will see the design of the phone’s front, back and left sides, and if this leak is legit, then it more or less confirms all the info that surfaced thus far, read on.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X, based on the provided images, will be made out of metal, while its dual camera setup on the back will resemble the iPhone X’s dual camera setup. We’re looking at two, vertically aligned cameras, while a dual-LED flash is placed in-between those two snappers. The phone’s dual camera setup protrudes on the back a bit, while a rear-facing fingerprint scanner is also included on the back. It’s a bit weird that Xiaomi’s logo is missing on the back, but it’s possible this is just a prototype unit, and the logo was not yet imprinted on its back. As far as the phone’s front side is concerned, it seems like it will resemble the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus quite a bit. The Xiaomi Mi 6X’s bezels will be thinner than they were on the Xiaomi Mi 5X, but not by a lot. The phone’s display sports rounded corners, it seems, while all the physical keys will be included on the right-hand side of this smartphone.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X is rumored to be fueled by the Surge S2, Xiaomi’s upcoming processor, and a direct successor to the Surge S1 which was announced last year. That SoC will, allegedly, fuel both the Xiaomi Mi 6X and Mi A2, and if rumors are to be believed, those two phones will be completely identical in terms of the design and specs, but the Mi A2 will be the company’s second-gen Android One smartphone. The Xiaomi Mi 5X was announced back in July last year, so it is possible that the Mi 6X will arrive in mid-2018 as well, though it’s possible that Xiaomi may opt to release it sooner, we’ll just have to wait and see.
