It seems like Huawei decided to trademark the ‘Huawei P11’ name, which could indicate that the Huawei P11 flagship is on the way. Now, usually, we’d say without a doubt that the company’s upcoming flagship will be called the Huawei P11, but it’s worth noting that the company trademarked the ‘Huawei P20’ name last year as well, in mid-2017, so this info is somewhat confusing, and we’re still not 100 percent sure what will the name of the company’s new flagship be, but it will probably be called the Huawei P11.
The Huawei P11 moniker has been registered in the IPO of the company’s major markets, which include the US, UK, Taiwan and Hong Kong, amongst others. Now, needless to say, that is a rather believable hint that the upcoming flagship will carry that name. In comparison, it seems like the US is the only country where Huawei trademarked the Huawei P20 moniker last year, so the Huawei P11 naming seems to be a favorite, at least for now. The Huawei P11 is expected to launch in the near future, some reports suggested that the Huawei P11 and P11 Plus may arrive during this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, which kicks off next month, but more recent reports claim that Huawei will wait with its announcement, in order not to clash with the Galaxy S9’s arrival, as Samsung already confirmed that the Galaxy S9 will be announced during the tradeshow in Barcelona.
Huawei may opt to introduce the Huawei P11 and P11 Plus during a separate event in March, or even April, we’re only guessing at the moment, of course, though more info will almost certainly surface in the near future. The Huawei P11 and P11 Plus, presuming that both phones will be announced, will sport considerably thinner bezels than its predecessors, at least that’s what we’re expecting to happen. The two devices will almost certainly be fueled by the Kirin 970 64-bit octa-core processor, Huawei’s flagship processor, and the chip that fuels the Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and the PORSCHE DESIGN Huawei Mate 10. The Huawei P11 and P11 Plus are expected to ship with Leica’s lenses, and they will probably utilize at least 6GB of RAM each.
