Reduce the risk of cancer by eating these foods!



 

The food we eat is very important for our overall health. An anti-cancer diet is actually the diet we should consume in our everyday life. We should eat fruits, vegetables, herbs, and lean proteins. Here are some of the food we should include in our diet:

  • Beans

They slow down the division and growth of cancer cells and that is due to the phytic acid, protease inhibitors, saponins, and folate they contain.

  • Carrots

They protect the cells and don’t allow the toxins affect them. They are full of antioxidants such as beta-carotene.

  • Black seed oil

It contains black cumin which stabilizes and strengths the immune system. There are some studies that have shown that it can destroy the cancer cells in pancreatic cancer.

  • Cruciferous vegetables

This family includes kale, bok choy, cabbage, and broccoli and they all contain indole carbinols and sulforaphane. They help in the detoxification of the body which is the most important this in protecting ourselves from cancer.

  • Garlic

It has the ability to kill cancer cell and it can also repair the DNA. This family also includes onions, shallots, chives, etc.

  • Grapes

The resveratrol, which is a part of the grapes, reduces inflammation, lowers the cholesterol levels, and fight free radicals.

  • Pomegranate

It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which slow down the growth of cancer cells.

  • Green tea

The catechins and the polyphenols it contains fight cancer cell growth and shrinks the tumors.

  • Sea vegetables

In this category, these are kombu, hijiki, arame, nori, etc. They are rich in beta-carotene, calcium, vitamins B, iron, etc. and they all boost the production of T-cells.

  • Spinach

It contains zeaxanthin and lutein which fight free radicals and protect the body from cancer.

  • Tomatoes

The antioxidant, lycopene, they contain has proven to be very beneficial in many types of cancer, especially, prostate cancer.

  • Strawberries

They have the ability to slow down the growth of cancer cells.

  • Turmeric

The curcumin is considered to be one of the most powerful antioxidants which fight cancer cells.

  • Vitamin D

It prevents depression, breast cancer, boosts the immune system and it is especially beneficial during the winter periods when we aren’t exposed to the sun.
