The Moto X4 will be cheaper in India compared to other markets in which the new mid-range smartphone from Motorola recently started selling, as suggested by a recent leak depicting what’s believed to be the back side of the phone’s retail packaging. The image that can be seen below indicates that the handset meant to be sold by Motorola Mobility India will bear the model number XT1900-2 and feature a price tag of Rs. 23,999, which translates to just over $369 by today’s exchange rate. The Moto X4 already debuted in the United States with a price of $399 and goes for approximately €399 in Europe, or just under $470.
The recently announced Android mid-ranger is set to launch in India on November 13th, the local branch of the company confirmed last week, though it’s still unclear whether the smartphone will already be available for purchase on that date or if the Lenovo-owned consumer electronics manufacturer is first planning on offering it for pre-orders in the South Asian country. The device itself is the latest offering from Motorola which already debuted more than a dozen handsets over the course of this year, seeking to compete in virtually all price segments around the world. The variant of the Moto X4 set to go on sale in India boasts dual-SIM capabilities and a dedicated microSD card slot supporting up to 256GB of additional storage, with the phone itself having 64GB of internal flash memory and 4GB of RAM
The Moto X4 features a 5.2-inch display panel with a resolution of 1,920 by 1,080 pixels amounting to a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9. An unspecified model of Corning’s Gorilla Glass is protecting the screen of the device, with its case being IP68-certified for resistance to dust particles and water. The Moto X4 is powered by Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 630 SoC featuring eight Cortex A53 cores clocked at up to 2.2GHz and also comes in a variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space, albeit only the more powerful model of the dual-camera handset will apparently be sold in India. The latest leak suggests that the Super Black color will be available in the second largest smartphone market on the planet, though it remains to be seen whether the same will hold true for the Sterling Blue version of the device.
