The OnePlus 5T has been leaking like crazy lately, and a new image has just surfaced. If you take a look at the provided image down below, you’ll be able to see the back side of OnePlus’ upcoming flagship, presuming this image is legit, of course. The image comes from Weibo (Chinese social network), and the device looks basically identical to the OnePlus 5, save for one rather important detail, its fingerprint scanner, read on.
As you can see, a fingerprint scanner is placed on the back of this smartphone, and we’re looking at an oval fingerprint scanner here. As most of you probably already know, the OnePlus 5 sports a front-facing fingerprint scanner, well, the OnePlus 5T is expected to sport a rear-facing one, and a set of really thin bezels on its front side. The dual camera setup protrudes on the back of this smartphone, which is something that it picked up from the OnePlus 5 as well. The device seems to be made out of metal, and it is curved on the sides. The OnePlus 5T’s alleged front side leaked a number of times thus far, and it seems like the phone will look almost identical to the upcoming OPPO R11s in terms of the front side design. It will sport thin bezels, and its display will sport rounded corners, as a number of other phones do these days.
Having said that, the OnePlus 5T is expected to arrive next month, and if the rumored info is accurate, it will sport a similar footprint as the OnePlus 5, but it will sport a considerably larger display. The OnePlus 5 comes with a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, while the OnePlus 5T is rumored to sport a 6-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) panel. The OnePlus 5T will probably be fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor, while it will arrive in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, with 64GB and 128GB of non-expandable storage, respectively. The device will probably ship with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, while the company’s OxygenOS will be included on top of Google’s offering. Do keep in mind that some rumors suggested that the OnePlus 5T won’t launch at all, but the OnePlus 5 has been sold out in both Europe and the US since recently, which suggests that a new model is coming.
