HTC had already announced its November 2 event, that happened a couple of days ago, and the company has just released a new teaser for that event. Now, the HTC U11 Plus is expected to arrive during that event, and the HTC U11 Life is also rumored to be announced. Well, in HTC’s new teaser, you can see the back side of one of those two devices, and we’re probably looking at the HTC U11 Plus here. Now, as you can see, this image is not showing off the whole back side of the device, but it does reveal some info about it, read on.
HTC’s newest teaser more or less confirms that the HTC U11 Plus will sport a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, which is a considerable change compared to the HTC U11 which came with a front-facing fingerprint scanner. Now, above this fingerprint scanner, you will notice a single camera, and an LED flash which is located next to it. Unfortunately, we cannot say whether the back side of the phone is made out of metal or glass, but it seems like we’re looking at glass here, while the phone’s frame will be made out of metal. Having said that, the HTC U11 Life is the company’s rumored Android One smartphone, and if some recent leaks are to be believed, that phone will resemble the HTC U11 to an extent, and it will ship with a front-facing fingerprint scanner, and two capacitive keys. The HTC U11 Plus, on the other hand, is HTC’s upcoming flagship handset, and if rumors and leaks are to be believed, it will sport on-screen buttons and really thin bezels around its display, which explains the rear-facing fingerprint scanner, HTC probably wanted to trim down those bezels, which were rather thick on the HTC U11.
The HTC U11 Plus actually got certified by TENAA yesterday, and even though TENAA did not share any spec info when it comes to the device, it did show off its design. TENAA also suggests that the phone will be made out of metal and glass, and sport a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, while the phone seems to sport a display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Now, if rumors are to be believed, the HTC U11 Plus will sport a 6-inch QHD+ display, while it will ship with a 12-megapixel main camera (f/1.7 aperture). The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC, and a 3,930mAh non-removable battery had also been mentioned in one of the recent leaks.
