Google Slides Q&A is a new way for speakers to answer questions from an audience

google slides QAGoogle is rolling out a new feature to Slides today called Q&A, which has been designed from the ground up to allow speakers and presenters to have an easy way to communicate with viewers. The new feature is simple but powerful and gives viewers a way to ask questions and vote on which questions to be answered.

Slide presentations will now have a link that a user can click to ask a question about the content. They’ll be able to ask questions on mobile devices and computers, and then vote on which questions have been asked so the presenter knows which questions are the most urgent.

This new feature is useful for presentations as it gives a speaker the opportunity to quickly answer important questions without being derailed or distracted mid-slide. If a speaker had an overwhelming number of questions, for example, they’d be able to sort through which questions were voted as the most important and ignore the ones that didn’t gain any traction.

Slides now also supports slinging presentations to Hangouts from an iPhone or iPad, so you’ll be able to get your projects onto any compatible device with Google Cast, AirPlay, or Hangouts.

The update is rolling out now, but like all Google app updates it may take a few days before it’s live on your device.
