Another one from the Historic American Engineering Record files on the old Third Avenue El in the Bronx, this one taken where Third Avenue snakes around just south of 161st Street, beside the Old Bronx Borough Courthouse. While the El no longer stands, the courthouse does, though just barely, after the city closed it for good in 1977. All that said, what do you see here?
