Does racing really improve the breed? If you're Kawasaki, it certainly does. For proof, look at the new 2016 ZX-10R. Kawasaki's title-winning World Superbike team played a key role in the development of this track-ready production bike, which has suspension and brakes closely related to those of the ZX-10Rs raced by Tom Sykes and Jonathan Rea. As you'd expect of a new superbike, the 2016 ZX-10R boasts thoroughly modern electronics, highlighted by a five-axis Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit that also calculates yaw angle. By doing this, the new ZX-10R is allowed to slide a controllable amount in corners, which is said to significantly improve lap times. At AIMExpo, we had a chance to talk with Kawasaki's Kevin Allen about the bike, which goes on sale in December.
