Yesterday was a whirlwind of activity at the Audi booth. A press conference featuring the A9 Prologue Concept was the highlight, or rather, the high-tech interior of this beast was the centerpiece.
The car was swarmed by photographers, and getting good shots proved a challenge. For a brief few minutes I was able to sit in the passenger seat, and felt a tad bit overwhelmed by all the moving parts on the digital screens. I am definitely feeling "old school". The digital display extends all the way down to the passenger side, allowing full view of information.
What does 605 horsepower (and 516 lb-ft of torque) feel like? I couldn't tell you, but I'm guessing it's similar to that jolt of espresso I had in order to get through 8 hours of walking around taking in the full L.A. Auto Show experience. I kept returning to that Prologue, though, drawn to its commanding presence.
Also on display was the Audi R8 Limited Edition Competition (only 60 will be available in the U.S.), the revamped TTS, A7 h-tron, and S6. Check out the full gallery of photos here.
