If you’re wondering how safe Audi cars are, consider some of the safety features installed in their vehicles:
● Driver and front passenger dual-stage airbags, thorax side airbags, knee airbags, and Sideguard® head curtain airbags
● Power central locking system with safety unlock feature if airbags deploy
● Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with traction control (ASR)
● Adaptive cruise control which measures the distance of the vehicles ahead and sends its data to a computer that weighs the information against velocity and other road variables; applies the brakes as necessary *

The idea of car safety doesn’t stop after you’ve purchased an Audi. It’s important to maintain and service the vehicle on a regular basis in order to keep it in tip top shape. You may be thinking, Well, duh, I already know that, but you would be surprised how many people neglect this part of car ownership.
Even if your car is only a couple years old, car servicing should be a priority, even if you just get an oil change or change the shock absorbers. It never hurts to have the car looked at to make sure everything is working properly as each person drives differently. We all live in a variety of weather conditions that affect car wear and tear.
Here are a few car servicing tips:
● When you have your car tires rotated every 5,000-10,000 miles, make sure to have the brakes inspected as well.
● Experts suggest having your shock absorbers checked out every 20,000 kilometres and replaced every 80,000 kilometres. The guys over at Kmart Tyre and Auto Service car servicing say that worn shock absorbers cause excessive sway around corners making your car less stable on the road.
● If you live in hotter climates or you live in a city with heavy traffic, you should have the power steering fluid changed every 30,000 miles.
● Regular oil changes are important to prevent costly engine maintenance. How often you change the oil depends on the Audi model, so check your owner’s manual for more information.
● Flushing the fuel injector on a regular basis can help you get better gas mileage.
Please note that it's also important to pay attention to manufacturer recalls for your vehicle. There have been older Audi models known to catch on fire because of electrical malfunctions. Not everyone thinks to carry fire extinguishers in their cars.
