Lenovo Tab V7 – The perfect phone for Uber drivers

Remember the Phablet? This phone-tablet hybrid category fell away from popularity when large screen sizes became standard. However, the 6-8 inch screen size is basically nonexistent. The Samsung Fold is 7.2 inches but this is foldable phone territory. Lenovo has been a long time supporter of the Phabet space, remember the Phab lineup of smartphones? Well, they’re back this year with the Tab V7, a 6.9-inch smartphone that would be perfect for rideshare drivers!

The Lenovo Tab V7 as a 6.9″ IPS FHD display with narrow bezels and a 81% screen to body ratio. Running a Snapdragon Octa-Core 450 processor 3 or 4GB of RAM with 32 or 64GB of storage. The battery size is large at 5180mAh and has 2 front facing speakers if you’re thinking of using the large display to consume a lot of media while commuting.

The large display has 350nits of brightness which makes it a good option to use in direct sunlight. Most ride-sharing drivers have one phone to run Waze and navigation and the other phone to communicate with passengers.

The Tab V7 is 195g and 7.89mm thick with a fingerprint scanner on the back or Iris lock as its security options. The single-camera on the back is 13MP with no OIS and the front-facing shooter is 5MP. It’s got 4G and is dual sim running Android Pie.

The great thing about this device is that it’s only going to cost you 249EUR and will be available in April.

It’s not being aimed at the US market, Europe, Asia, and Latin America are the regions you’ll be seeing this Phablet end up for sale. So if you’re an Uber driver in the US, better luck next time, you’re more likely to see a Grab-Green or My Taxi Yellow edition than a Lyft-Pink.
