HTC Not Having Issues With U12 Plus Shipments After All

It seems like HTC is not having issues with the U12 Plus shipments after all. Reports that surfaced quite recently suggested that HTC may be having issues shipping units that were pre-ordered via Amazon. Some consumers were told that the phone was on backorder the whole time, and that it will ship on August 3 instead of June 21. Well, it seems like everything is in order after all, at least according to a statement which was sent to Android Central quite recently.

In that statement, HTC said that a small number of the HTC U12 Plus order were affected by a system error, and that error made it look like orders were canceled, which is not the case. HTC also said that it is in the process of contacting consumers in order to ensure them that their U12 Plus unit will be shipped on time, and arrive on time as well. The HTC U12 Plus is the company’s new flagship smartphone which was announced last month, in May. The HTC U12 Plus is made out of metal and glass, and it actually resembles its predecessor quite a bit. The U12 Plus comes with top of the line specs, a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and thin bezels, even though top and bottom bezels are quite visible, and thicker than bezels on many other flagship smartphones out there, but the U12 Plus does not sport a display notch like many of those other smartphones do, which is definitely a plus for some consumers.

The HTC U12 Plus features a 6-inch QHD+ display, 6GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor, along with a 3,500mAh battery, which is not removable. 12 and 16-megapixel cameras can be found on the back of the U12 Plus, while two 8-megapixel cameras sit on the phone’s front side. Android 8.0 Oreo comes pre-installed on the U12 Plus, along with HTC’s Sense UI skin. The U12 Plus is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, while the device features pressure-sensitive buttons, it does not have regular physical keys. Stereo speakers are also a part of the package, and so is Quick Charge 3.0 fast battery charging.
