Motorola’s new Moto G6 Android smartphone is now available in the United Kingdom from Vodafone, with the carrier having exclusive rights on the device until May 31. The Moto G6 made its official debut last month, setting out to deliver a quality experience at an affordable price point. It’s not a high-end offering but a solid mid-ranger that won’t break the bank. Vodafone UK is exclusively offering the device at £24 per month and zero down, and customers will also get 1GB of mobile data and unlimited talk and texts on that plan.
Those looking for a more substantial package can get the device on a Red Entertainment plan at £36 per month with no upfront fees which offers 8GB of data and an Entertainment Pass for Spotify Premium, Sky Sports Mobile TV, or Now TV, depending on one’s preferences. Moreover, those who go for a Red Entertainment or Red Extra plan can also select a Vodafone Pass for various services that they can have zero-rated for a fee that goes up to £15 per month, depending on how many apps you want to provide with unlimited, unthrottled data.
As for the Moto G6, the smartphone features a 5.7-inch Max Vision display with a full HD+ resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor under the hood. The handset launched in two configurations – with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage space, as well as 4GB of RAM and 64GB of flash memory – but Vodafone is only offering the base model. The Moto G6 sports a fingerprint scanner on the front, dual rear camera setup comprised of a 5-megapixel and 16-megapixel sensor, and special imaging software such as face filters. The Moto G6 also features a USB Type-C port and is generally being advertised as an extremely value-oriented offering meant to cater to a wide variety of consumers looking for an inexpensive pocket companion that’s still reliable.
