BLUBOO D5’s Unboxing Video Is Here, Two Variants Coming

BLUBOO has released a new video on its official YouTube channel, and this is the BLUBOO D5 and D5 Pro unboxing video. First and foremost, it is worth noting that the BLUBOO D5 and D5 Pro look the same, so even though the company unboxed only one phone (the D5 Pro), you know exactly what you’re getting in terms of the design for both BLUBOO D5 and D5 Pro. Neither of these two smartphones is available just yet, but the company is expected to release both of them in the near future That being said, the video is embedded down below, in case you’d like to check it out yourself.

The BLUBOO D5 and D5 Pro are both BLUBOO’s budget smartphones, though there are some differences between these two smartphones. The BLUBOO D5 supports only 3G connectivity, while the BLUBOO D5 Pro offers 4G LTE. The BLUBOO D5 comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage, while its ‘Pro’ variant sports 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. In addition to that, BLUBOO did mention that these two handsets sport a 5.5-inch 1280 x 640 display each, and that those displays are covered by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4. A fingerprint scanner is placed on the back of both of these phones, while a 3.5mm headphone jack is included on both devices as well. A Type-C USB port is not a part of the offering, unfortunately, but that’s not a surprise considering that these two devices are supposed to be extremely affordable. Instead of a Type-C USB port, we’re getting a regular microUSB port which will be included at the bottom of the phone.

Now, if you check out the provided video, you will notice that, aside from the device itself, the BLUBOO D5 / D5 Pro retail packaging will include a charger, charging cable, smartphone case, screen protector, SIM card ejector tool, warranty and a manual. The BLUBOO D5 is supposed to be a budget alternative to the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, as it sports a ‘chin’ below the display, and the design overall has been inspired by Xiaomi’s offering. We’re still not sure how much will the BLUBOO D5 and D5 Pro cost exactly, but a source at the company mentioned that we’re looking at a sub-$100 price tag, though we’re not sure if he meant that both phones will cost under $100, or only the BLUBOO D5. Both of these smartphones are expected to hit the market before March comes knocking.
