Alleged Galaxy S9 Surfaces In A Display Test Video

Samsung will announce the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) next month, and a new Galaxy S9 leak has just surfaced. If you take a look at the embedded video down below, you will be able to see the Galaxy S9’s touch sensitivity test. This video gives us a glimpse of what the real Galaxy S9 will look like, though, unfortunately, the quality of the video could be better, so we don’t really get to see all that many details, read on.

Thanks to this video, though, we do get a good look at the bottom of the phone’s front side. The bottom bezel on the leaked Galaxy S9 seems to be similar to the one on the Galaxy S8, while the display is curved on the sides, obviously. The phone’s display sports rounded corners, just like the one on the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The top bezel is basically not shown in this video, so we can’t really see how thin it is. Having said that, most rumors and leaks suggested that the Galaxy S9’s bottom bezel will be quite a bit thinner than this video suggests, so it remains to be seen if this video is legit or not. The top bezel, however, is expected to stay more or less the same as it was on the Galaxy S8, at least if the aforementioned rumors and leaks are to be believed. Having said that, the device in the provided video resemble the Galaxy S8 so much, that it’s even possible that it is the Galaxy S8, it’s that difficult to judge based on what we’ve seen here.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus are expected to be made out of metal and glass once again, and based on everything we’ve seen thus far, those two smartphones will resemble their predecessors. The two devices will even sport similarly-sized displays as the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, and you can, once again, expect two SoC variants for each of these smartphones. The Snapdragon 845-powered Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will be available in the US, and a couple of other markets, while the rest of the world will get the Exynos 9810-powered variant. The Galaxy S9 is rumored to ship with a single camera on the back, while the Galaxy S9 Plus will probably ship with two, while both phones will sport a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, which will, hopefully, be better positioned than the one on the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
