No matter who we are, where we live, or what we do, we create garbage. It might go by different names – trash, rubbish, refuse, junk – and the nature of it might change throughout the years, but we’re always gonna need some way to haul it away. That need was there before the coming of the automobile, as Donald Wood wrote in his article on garbage trucks for SIA #201, June 2004, but trucks nevertheless got pressed into trash hauling duty, and the variety of forms they took to accomplish that task is extensive.
