Xiaomi had released two Mi Max-branded handsets thus far, and some info regarding the Mi Max 3 just surfaced. The Xiaomi Mi Max and Mi Max 2 both feature 6.44-inch displays, and if this new rumor is to be believed, the Mi Max 3 will ship with a huge 7-inch panel. Now, this may seem unrealistic, as there are a number of 7-inch tablets available out there, well, considering that the Mi Max 3 is also rumored to sport an 18:9 display, and considerably thinner bezels than the Mi Max and Mi Max 3, which sported rather thick bezels, a 7-inch display is definitely a possibility, especially considering that the Mi Max 3 will be the largest handset in Xiaomi’s lineup next year, almost certainly.
Now, in addition to that, the source also mentioned some SoC info when it comes to the Mi Max 3. This handset will, allegedly, ship in two SoC variants, one variant will be fueled by the Snapdragon 630, while the other one will arrive with the Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core processor. Two cameras will be included on the back of the Mi Max 3, if the provided info is accurate, and a 5,500mAh non-removable battery will also be a part of the package, and you’ll be able to recharge that battery using Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is a mid-range phone, and we’re guessing that the company plans to utilize a fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) panel in this handset, as we’ve seen a fullHD display in both the Xiaomi Mi Max and Mi Max 2. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 was announced back in May this year, and it was released a month later, in June, which suggests that the Mi Max 3 will arrive in mid-2018. Having that in mind, it may be a bit early to start talking about its specifications, but there you have it.
That is more or less all the Mi Max 3 info that we have for you thus far, though the phone will probably be made out of metal, just like its predecessors. Unlike the Xiaomi Mi Max and Mi Max 2, the Mi Max 3 will probably ship with on-screen buttons, not capacitive keys, as Xiaomi is stepping away from capacitive keys due to the fact that the company is trimming down bezels.
