Galaxy S9 & S9 Plus Renders Leak, Five Color Variants Shown

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are expected to arrive in the first half of next year, and a new set of renders have just surfaced showing off the upcoming handset. We still do not know if this design is legit, though, so keep that in mind going forward. If you take a look at the provided image, you will notice a number of different Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus color variants here, including Midnight Black, Silver Titanium, Orchid Gray, Ocean Blue and Maple Gold. This image also lets us take a look at the front side of the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus (Galaxy S9 Plus is in the top row, while you’ll notice the Galaxy S9 in the bottom row), presuming this info is legit, of course.

As you can see, the device sports extremely thin bezels, the phone is actually rumored to have a screen-to-body ratio of around 90 percent, so you can expect to see extremely thin bezels on the Galaxy S9, even thinner than the ones Samsung included on the Galaxy S8 / S8 Plus. The phone’s display will, once again, be curved on the sides, and the Bixby button will be making a comeback it seems. The power / lock key will be placed on the right-hand side of the phone, while you’ll be able to find volume up, volume down and Bixby buttons on the right. The back side of the Galaxy S9 / S9 Plus will be curved on the sides, while you’ll notice a dual camera setup on the back of the Galaxy S9 Plus, and a single camera on the back of the Galaxy S9. A fingerprint scanner is placed right below the camera(s), and the company’s branding is also included on the back of both phones. The Galaxy S9 Plus’ cameras will be vertically aligned, it seems, and a fingerprint scanner’s placement makes sense, as it will be far easier to use than the fingerprint scanner that was included in the Galaxy S8, S8 Plus and Note 8.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 is expected to ship with a 5.8-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display, while the Galaxy S9 Plus will probably feature a 6.2-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity panel, which means that the display sizes will be similar or identical to the ones the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are shipping with. The two phones will be fueled by the Snapdragon 845 in the US, while Samsung’s new Exynos flagship SoC will fuel both phones in Europe, and some other markets. The two devices are expected to sport either 4GB or 6GB of RAM, and they’ll both ship with Android Oreo out of the box, with Samsung’s custom UI installed on top of it.
