Hisense’s ‘Full-Screen’ Handset Gets Certified In China

‘Full-screen’ smartphones all over the place, the alleged Redmi Note 5 popped up on TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) quite recently, and Hisense’s full-screen handset has just surfaced on TENAA as well. Actually, this listing dates back to October 13, but it’s now making the rounds, as it was not spotted before now. This handset, in all honesty, resembles the Redmi Note 5 quite a bit, the two phones sport a very similar look, especially from the front side. The Hisense HLTE300T is the model number of this smartphone, and it seems like this handset’s display will sport rounded corners, just like the Redmi Note 5’s panel.

Now, if you take a look at the provided image, you will be able to notice that this phone’s physical keys are placed on the right, which means that its SIM card tray lies on the left. The device will sport a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, while it will come with a single camera on the back. The phone will be made out of metal, it seems, and its main camera will protrude on the back a bit. Now, in addition to the phone’s design, TENAA also provided its spec sheet. The Hisense HLTE300T (which won’t be its official name, of course) sports a 5.99-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) display, reports TENAA, and this is an IPS panel we’re looking at here. The device will sport 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of expandable storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). Hisense’s ‘full-screen’ smartphone will be fueled by an octa-core SoC clocked at 1.4GHz, but TENAA did not reveal the manufacturer of that SoC, so we don’t really know what processor to expect here, though it will probably be one of MediaTek’s or Qualcomm’s chips entry-level chips.

A 12-megapixel shooter will be located on the back of this handset, while a 16-megapixel camera will be included on its front side, of TENAA is to be believed, of course. Android 7.1.2 Nougat will ship out of the box here, and on top of it, you’ll get Hisense’s custom UI. A 3,400mAh non-removable battery will also be included in this package, and the device will be available in Coral Blue and Star Gray color variants it seems. The phone will measure 159.46 x 76.1 x 7.9mm, while it will weigh 159 grams. This phone will probably land soon, though we still do not know when exactly will that happen.
