Ingredients

  • Calendula oil (10 drops) – This oil accelerates the healing of the skin due to its anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, and antibacterial properties.
  • Beeswax (2 tsp.) – It has the properties as a binding agent.
  • Castor oil (½ a cup) – It decreases and prevents acnes due to its anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties.
  • Raw coconut oil (½ a cup) – It heals the skin due to its antibacterial, antiseptic, moisturizing, and anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Activated charcoal (3 tsp.) – It eliminates toxins and foreign objects, and it also decreases the pain caused by insects and poison ivy.
  • Bentonite clay (3 tsp.) – It makes the ointment non-greasy.

Preparation

Mix the charcoal, bentonite clay, and the essential oils. Then melt the beeswax and with a double boiler combine it with the calendula oil. You can put a glass bowl over a pot with some hot water if you don’t have one.

Mix everything well together and put it into a glass jar.

Let it cool down and keep it in a well-closed jar in order to prevent the air from coming in and away from the sun. Use this for a few weeks.
