Oakwood Beach
One of the newest beaches in the city, this beach is located in the South Side, and features many outdoor festivals and concerts like Mamby on the Beach. It also features a colorful mural created by artist Jeff Zimmerman. Includes restrooms and lifeguard first aid stations.
Montrose Beach
Bring your furry best friend to enjoy the sun and some space to run! This spectacular beach features a fenced-off dog area, allowing your pooch to run freely. Elsewhere, you can enjoy volleyball, sitting under an umbrella, kayak rentals, concessions, water sports rentals, restrooms and lifeguard first aid station.
Rainbow Beach and Park
A part of the 60-acre Rainbow Park, this beach is located on the South Side, right next to one of Chicago’s oldest public gardens. Offers concessions, playground for children, restroom, wifi, and a lifeguard first aid station.
North Avenue Beach
Located in Lincoln Park, the North Avenue Beach is one of Chicago’s most popular. It features a unique beach house in the shape of a beached ocean liner. Visitors can play volleyball, visit concessions stands, rent kayaks, jet skis and more.
