Kia continues a long standing legacy for design excellence with multiple Red Dot design awards!
Scoring a triple victory, three of the models– the Optima Sportswagon, Niro and Rio – are taking home prestigious design distinctions.
Judged among 5,500 competing products by 39 international design experts, our Europe-exclusive Optima Sportswagon tourer was distinguished with the highest title of ‘Best of the Best’ in the vehicle design category. The brand’s best-selling Rio was named ‘Winner’ of said category for its bold and mature upgrades. The market-leading Niro HUV received ‘Honorable mention in said category receiving praise for its intricate design and attention to detail.
The latest three awards now bring our Red Dot design award count to an impressive record of 18 since the first in 2009.
This trio of awards is not the first design-related recognition that Kia has received this year. The brand also managed to score three prestigious iF design awrds earlier in February for the same three models.
Having received iF design recognition for eight years running, the brand now boasts a total number 12 iF awards.
Our global design team has every right to be proud of this new triple triumph as it underlines Kia’s high design quality, which is unanimously recognized by experts.
