On Saturday March, 18th, 2017, we celebrated the Grand Opening of Berman Nissan of Chicago with over 200 guests; including employees, family, friends, local community leaders, like Alderman Margaret Laurino and Cook County Commissioner Luis Arroyo Jr., as well as several prominent figures from Nissan Corp., who have all helped to make this new facility possible. The event hosted a live band playing blues music, a wide assortment of fabulous food and desserts, and everyone had a ton of fun celebrating the new dealership along with Berman Auto Group's accomplishments over the last 30 years in business! NBCLocal covered the event, full article that can be found here.Berman Nissan of Chicago's new facility was built on over 7 acres and is one of the largest Nissan dealerships in North America. The building used to be a factory that closed and left over 140 people jobless in the community. Since we moved into the Avondale neighborhood we have provided over 100 jobs, and are looking to add more. We plan on hosting a job fair this Spring.
We at Berman Nissan of Chicago pride ourselves on being invested in our community. Previously, Mid City Nissan, we have been a staple in the community since 1987. Berman Auto Group is celebrating our 30 year anniversary this year, and with the 30th anniversary of Berman Auto Group, Michael Berman launched the kick off of our 30 Acts of Kindness over the next 30 weeks to give back to our communities our 5 dealerships serve;Berman Nissan of Chicago, Star Nissan, Mid City Subaru, Berman INFINITI Chicago, and Berman INFINITI of Merrillville.
Some of our community involvement activities Berman Nissan of Chicago recently participated in includes; distributing 25 gift baskets to our new neighbors, hosting a Fall Family event for the community which included a petting zoo, children activities, face painting, and passing out over 1,000 pumpkins. Over Christmas we donated over $3,000 in toys to needy families via a meet Santa event, and last August we donated over 600 back packs and school supplies to local school children. Also, after the Grand Opening will be launching our 30 acts of kindness for the next 30 weeks for Berman Auto Group's 30 years in business.
