Hyundai announces Google Home control of Blue Link-supported cars

Hyundai took to CES 2017 to announce a new feature for the Blue Link service that allows you to use an app to control a supported car, like start it and lock the doors.

The new feature is support for Google Home. While you can’t just tell Google Home to start your car, you can tell Google Home to tell Blue Link to command your car. Some things you can do are start the car, set temperature, lock the doors, and send addresses to the car.

This is definitely a great feature to have. Like the video shows, you can check the weather, warm the interior of your car up before you get in, and have directions waiting for you. It’s not revolutionary, but it’s definitely a nice feature to have if you’re buying a new car.
