Saint Releases The Model 1 Riding Jean

Motorcycle clothing label Saint has disrupted the protective motorcycle clothing industry with the release of its new Unbreakable CE single layer denim jeans, the ‘Model 1’.

CE CERTIFICATION

The Saint Unbreakable CE Model 1 single layer road denim is the first single layer denim in the world to meet the rigorous CE EN13595-1 ‘Protective clothing for professional motorcycle riders’ European test standards. Certified abrasion, puncture and tear-resistant, the jeans leap past the 4 second CE motorcycle apparel safety rating at an incredible 5.9 seconds or in real terms “a bloody long slide down the road,” says co-founder Mike Lelliott.

MATERIALS

Saint’s single layer riding denim challenges the norm. No liners, no layers. Just tough, hard wearing, all-day riding jeans. The Model 1 jeans are made from a unique denim by using a double warp beam to blend the world’s strongest fiber Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene [UHMWPE] and cotton, making these jeans 15 times stronger than carbon steel but still light enough to float on water. The jeans also feature CE rated removable knee and hip armor for added protection on the road.

LOOKS GOOD

Other than protecting you when things go random, the game changing Model 1 motorcycle jean also looks good. These armored, implanted jeans are designed to look just as sharp with or without the CE Level 1 rated removable knee and CE Level 2 rated hip armor inside. An impeccable finish with triple stitched ‘feld’ original work-wear seams, accordion stretch panels for movement, enamel engraved buttons, a flawless construction and modern fit – complete these world first jeans.

PRICE POINT

If the world’s first CE certification hasn’t convinced you enough, the Saint Unbreakable CE Model 1 road jean also boasts the right price point. “At Saint we take being protected as seriously as looking good and we wanted to make sure that we had a jean that made sense on every point.” says Lelliott.

Saint’s Unbreakable Model 1 denim jeans are now available online at saint.cc for US$350.

Regarding our CE rating, it was tested and approved by a certified lab. Our Unbreakable Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber is isolated at full capacity (66%) at the knees, hips and backside, 10% at the low impact zones (see specs below):
