2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Performance Specs
The 2017 Civic Hatchback will be equipped with the same powerful engine across all trims. The 1.5L DOHC direct-injected turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine generates a maximum output of 180 horsepower and 177 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine will be offered with either a sporty CVT or a performance-inspired 6-speed manual transmission. The CVT is available across all trims, and the 6-speed is only available on the LX and Sport trims.
Working with the 2017 Hatchback’s powertrain is the Civic’s more rigid and lightweight body and sophisticated chassis design. The chassis features a fully independent suspension system, sport-tuned electronic power steering with variable gear ratios, and powerful anti-lock disc brakes with Electronic Brake Distribution and Hill Start Assist.
2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Interior Features
The 2017 Civic Hatchback’s interior builds on the modern and premium quality of the 10th generation cabin. The new cabin offers high-grade materials and finishes throughout, as well as a host of convenience and comfort features. Some of the available cabin features include: Honda Display Audio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated front seats, heated side mirrors, power driver and front-passenger seats, remote engine start, and more.
The Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies will be available on most 2017 Civic Hatchback trims and standard on the Sport Touring. The suite includes advanced technologies like a Collision Mitigation Braking System, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Departure Warning, and more. The systems are designed to provide an extra set of eyes and help drivers have confidence on the roadways.
