More spy photos and a video of the 2017 Mercedes-AMG E63 sedan surfaced online. The leaked images and clip shows the car with less camouflage, which leads us to believe that it may be nearing its unveiling.
According to Motor Authority, the new Mercedes-AMG E63 will make its world premiere at the 2016 Paris Auto Show in September this year. The source said that the high-performance car will be carrying a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission gearbox. It will be connected to a rear-biased all-wheel drive system.
The report claimed that the next Mercedes-AMG E63 will have an output of 563 hp with 553 lb-ft of torque. The numbers push the sedan from zero to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds. On the other hand, the more powerful Mercedes-AMG E63 S will get as much as 603 hp with 627 lb-ft of torque. The acceleration time of the auto from zero to 62 mph will be at 3.5 seconds.
It should be noted though that the said figures are not yet official as Mercedes remains mum on the specifications of the upcoming Mercedes-AMG E63.
The article further stated that there will Mercedes-AMG E63 models for the E-Class station wagon, coupe and cabriolet. Each variant will also get the abovementioned level of AMG treatment.
