The Gear Manager app for iOS has leaked on an online forum, indicating that Gear S2 support for iOS could be available in just a few weeks.
We’ve heard plenty of rumors in the past, indicating that Gear S2 support was on the way. We first had of a end-of-March launch date, but that never happened. Verizon even teased that the update was available, but that turned out to be just an error by the company.
But now, we’re seeing some more solid evidence that Gear S2 support for iOS is out there. The full Gear Manager app for iOS was posted on a Taiwanese forum. Obviously sideloading the app on iOS is extremely difficult and definitely not recommended, but a picture of the Gear S2 being paired with an iPhone was included in the post, showing us that this is indeed real.
It’s not surprising that Samsung is bringing Gear S2 support to iOS. After all, Android Wear offers support for iOS, and with the Gear S2 being one of the best smartwatches around, it’s the obvious next step for the wearable.
We haven’t heard anything official yet, but it seems like the Gear Manager app launching on iOS could be in just a few weeks. The app posted on the forum seems to be in fully working condition, so the wait shouldn’t be much longer.
Are you looking forward to Gear S2 support for iOS?
