Many of the leading Android smartphones hitting the market this year will come equipped with similar, if not the same, hardware like a Snapdragon 820 processor or 4GB of RAM. In order to stand out from the competition, manufacturers have to figure out ways to differentiate their devices along with tweaking every last bit of performance out of the hardware using their own special magic. For HTC, a company that has been struggling financially and really needs to score a run with their new flagship, the HTC 10, the news that it bests the competition on a measure like the AnTuTu benchmark is some good news.
The revelation that HTC managed to figure out how to get some additional performance out of the HTC 10 was discovered thanks to an image posted by a source in Taiwan that appears to also show the HTC 10 in the flesh. The photo of the device shows the HTC 10 scoring a 156,091 on the AnTuTu benchmark, besting a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and reported pre-production unit scores for the LG G5.
Along with the impressive performance results, HTC is packing in what it describes as a “very compelling camera experience” and an excellent audio experience, possibly thanks to the return of BoomSound speakers. HTC plans to launch the HTC 10 during an on-line only event on Tuesday, April 12th.
Is this enough to interest you in the HTC 10 or is there something else you hope to see the company make available in their new flagship?
