Earlier this year the Louwman Museum in the Netherlands did what even Toyota couldn’t do – locate and purchase an example of the company’s first car, the pre-war Toyoda Model AA. The story of how it survived in a single family’s ownership in Russia, as presented by Toyota’s UK operations, is worth checking out.
