Kia UVO Security features
What is it about teenagers? We all were one at some point…but at what point was it that we decided that parents were uncool, that girls didn’t have cooties, and that saying “dude” become a mandatory part of our daily vocabulary? Teenagers–your teenager–you love ‘em, you trust them for the most part, but without spying on them or tagging along everywhere they go, it would be nice to keep tabs on them, for safety reasons at least…right?
Even if you don’t have a teenager (we’re only using that as an example) let’s say in the event that the driver suddenly becomes ill and needs help or your vehicle goes missing for one reason or any other, it would be wonderful if you could track it, right? With the Kia UVO security features, just because you’re not driving your car doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be able to keep track of where it is.
All joking aside, this isn’t meant to be seen as a creeper feature, but rather a peace of mind. In the event of an emergency, whether it is a young driver behind the wheel, or someone else that may be a friend or family member, it would be good to know if your vehicle leaves the designated area you plan on typically traveling within. This is known as the Geo Fence alert, but isn’t the only feature available through Kia UVO security.
There also is the Curfew Limit which is designed to make sure that your young drivers stay on track and don’t go beyond the time that you have set for them. No matter where they may be, this will help to keep them on track by sending an alert, reminding them when time is up.
Another alert that everyone can appreciate is the Speed Alert. It’s easy to get a little heavy on the gas pedal, but having a preset speed set that will alert you, should you exceed this amount is a great safety cushion to make certain you don’t beyond this predetermined speed.
