The ever-popular Mitsubishi Mirage minicar has remained a favorite for years thanks to its great fuel economy and affordable price. In fact, the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage is the most fuel-efficient gasoline-powered non-hybrid vehicle in the American market today. Even with all its accolades, not everyone wants a minicar. Luckily, a Mitsubishi Mirage sedan model could be coming soon.
Currently a sedan version of the Mitsubishi Mirage is being sold in other markets and will now be available in America. The Mitsubishi Mirage sedan in other markets has a slightly different look compared to the minicar version. What Mitsubishi will bring in terms of styling for the Mirage sedan in the American market is yet to be determined.
Mitsubishi has not released any official specs of the Mirage sedan, but rumor has it that the vehicle might come powered with the same powertrain as the minicar. Currently, the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage is standard with a 74-hp, 1.2-liter, three-cylinder engine that helps the minicar deliver an outstanding fuel economy of 37 city and 44 highway mpg when equipped with a continuously variable transmission.
We also anticipate that the Mitsubishi Mirage sedan will come with high-tech features, just like the minicar version. The 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage minicar comes standard with a variety of features including keyless entry, full power accessories, four-speaker sound system with CD player and automatic climate control. Moving up in trim level adds foglights, Bluetooth phone connectivity, leather-wrapped steering wheel and cruise control. An optional Navigation package is also available.
There really isn’t much information out yet on this sedan, but stay tuned for more updates from us at Continental Mitsubishi as more information becomes available. With the coming release of the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander we anticipate to see the Mitsubishi Mirage to be available just as quickly.
