Jaguar F-Pace interior and exterior spy photos

The upcoming Jaguar F-Pace SUV has been photographed, on both the inside and out, by our spies in Europe.

Filmed on and near the Nurburgring, this latest F-Pace prototype was spotted travelling with some of its some Jaguar Land Rover stablemates, including the Jaguar XE and Range Rover Evoque.

While the exterior is wearing roughly the same amount of camouflage as the car that was photographer romping around in the norther snow in February, this is the first time we’ve seen the F-Pace’s production interior.

For all the bits on the outside that are taped up and disguised, it’s safe to assume that the F-Pace will feature slightly toned down styling elements from the C-X17 concept car.

Aside from the big red emergency cut off button in the centre tunnel, the F-Pace’s interior looks to be almost a dead-ringer for the one fitted to the second-generation XF, which was unveiled just ahead of the recent New York auto show.

There are, though, large sections of the dash covered in fabric, while the door panels are missing large swathes of its final trim pieces.

The prototype snagged by our photographers was fitted with a manual transmission, indicating that Jaguar’s new SUV will be offered with a self-shifter, at least in some markets, such as Europe.

The prototype seen here rides on 18-inch alloy wheels clad in 255/60 Pirelli Scorpion Verde tyres.

Under the skin, the F-Pace is based on the same aluminium-intensive rear- and all-wheel drive architecture that underpins the smaller XE and the recently unveiled second-generation XF sedan.

Motivation is likely to be provided by Jaguar Land Rover’s new Ingenium four-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel engines. Up-spec models are expected to sport supercharged V6 power, while a hybrid variant is also on the cards.

The F-Pace is set to debut at the Frankfurt auto show later this year and, as we reported at the launch of the XF, the new SUV has been benchmarked against the Porsche Macan.
