Introduced in prototype form at the 1989 Chicago Auto Show, the Acura NSX sent a clear message to the automotive world that Honda was serious about building a world-class sports car. In production form, its mid-mounted 3.0-liter, 270-horsepower V-6 used titanium connecting rods and forged pistons, permitting an 8,000 RPM redline. Its sleek aluminum monocoque body saved an estimated 440 pounds over a steel equivalent, and its handling attributes were polished by none other than F1 great Ayrton Senna. While still expensive, priced from $60,000 in 1991, the NSX was far more attainable than exotic rivals from Maranello or even Stuttgart. This 1995 Acura NSX-T, for sale on Hemmings.com, comes from the first year of targa roof availability (hence the NSX-T designation), and shows just 14,286 miles on the odometer. A two-owner car with no reported modifications or “upgrades,” its only potential black mark appears to be the absence of a third pedal. From the seller’s description:
I purchased this car in February 1997 with 8528 miles. It has been at this location in Florida since that time. It has always been garaged and only driven by myself. I have had it serviced mostly at the Acura dealer in Sarasota Florida The car is completely original as far as I know. I have had only one issue with the car which was fixed under warranty just after I purchased the car. I have also replaced the heat/AC fan motor control years ago. In 2012, the brake fluid and engine fluid was flushed and changed. It was last serviced by Acura on 3/2/2015.. I put on Bridgestone Potenza 215/45ZR-16 and 215/45ZR-17 tires in December of 2012. They would have less that 1,000 miles on them. The interior is Black and is in excellent conditon.
