It seems like Tesla is about to branch out from just electric cars.

According to a tweet by CEO and Founder Elon Musk, the new line will be unveiled on April 30th at 8PM, from Tesla’s Hawthorn Design Studio.
During a press call in February, Musk passingly mentioned that he was working on using Tesla’s battery technology to help power homes. That seems like a reasonable possibility for this announcement given it would simply be a reapplication of the research the company has done for car batteries. In any case, we’ll surely find out more a month from now.
