Contrary to what other people feel, I have always been a fan of the BMW 1 Series Hatchback. Furthermore, I’m probably one of the most passionate supporters of what the 1 Series represents: a small, nimble and fast hatchback that comes with RWD together with a premium driving feeling.
On the other hand, many words have been written about the 1er Hatchback, and more than enough heated debates have taken place over its design over the course of the two generations’ lifespan. And without a doubt, the new BMW F20 1 Series was bashed the most.
The facelifted version of the F20/F21 is just around the corner and according to our sources, this is one of the most significant facelifts BMW has done in a while. The front-end has undergone a fairly complex “design surgery” and it is said to be quite attractive now.
But what if you can’t wait for the facelifted 1 Series?
A BMW 1 Series owner from the UK has decided to give its car the front-fascia from the 2 Series Coupe. “I’ve been driving it a couple of months with the M235i front and the attention and thumbs up the car gets is unbelievable,” says the owner. “Only thing I’m waiting for now is my M performance exhaust which should be here tomorrow. Anyway hope you all like it cause I certainly do.”

The owner simply switched the entire front end of his BMW M135i and the result is a staggeringly beautiful machine fits the profile and dimensions of the 1 Series Hatchback.
If the 1 Series Hatch LCI will turn out like this, BMW will finally have a winner on their hands and less and less people will defect to Audi A3 or Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
