As we can see from this photo from the East Carolina University’s Digital Collections, Greenville, North Carolina, got a little festive for the holiday season with plenty of decorations along Evans Street. We’d posit that the photo shows frantic holiday shoppers hitting up the downtown stores, but the photo is dated November 30, and our previous glimpses of downtown Greenville in the Fifties and Sixties show about this much traffic during the rest of the year.
