| It's been a great 2014 for Audi... |
Are you a true Audi fan? Well, apparently so are 162,773 other people (Actually, maybe less if people bought more than one Audi) because that's the number of cars the beloved four ring brand has sold year-to-date, which set a new annual sales record. Audi also deserves a pat on the back for its best-ever November results.
The definite standout this year has been the A3 with 2182.4% increase from last year. It's amazing how offering this model in a sedan version versus a hatchback could bolster sales. A huge marketing push including the big Superbowl bit helped quite a bit too. Despite the phenomenal sales of the A3, looks like bigger is still better in the U.S. My favorite model, the Q7, received alot of love evidenced by the 16,589 units sold, which is a 21.1% increase in sales over last year.
The TT was a dud (-39.5% decrease from last year), but we all know that will change next year with the next generation in all its technological glory hitting the show rooms recently.
