Sketches that are claimed to be the Audi Prologue concept car have been leaked on the internet ahead of the car’s official unveiling at the Los Angeles auto show later this week.
German magazine Auto Bild has published photos of it what it believes are design sketches of the Audi LA concept vehicle, which it believes will badged as the Audi Prologue.
Measuring 5.1 metres from front to rear bumper, the two-door Prologue may eventually turn into a production model, probably branded A9, that will sit atop the Audi range.
As can be seen in the leaked sketches, the Prologue will feature a updated version of the company’s single frame grille framed by thinner headlights. At the rear there are thin tail-lights and flying buttress-style C-pillars.
The concept car will also provide the world a first glimpse of the brand’s updated design language under Marc Lichte, Audi’s head of design since the beginning of the year.
When CarAdvice spoke to Lichte earlier this year, he indicated that the first car to bear the imprint the marque’s latest design philosophy will be the A8.
Lichte’s design team is also working on making each model more recognisably unique, as well as differentiating each of the major model lines (A, Q, TT and R).
The latest leak follows on from the officially sanctioned rations of information we’ve been handed so far, including a moodily-lit overhead photo last month and a teaser video this month.
