Pure sound: Audi 50 Hillclimb racer

The Audi 50, a very iconic car. It was produced between 1974 and 1978 and exclusively for the European market. The Audi three-door hatchback is gone, however it was the 50 who gave birth to the legendary Volkswagen Polo. Now there are several Audi 50 cars racing in hillclimb events around Europe.

Here a great video from 100Octane. The event is the 2011 European Hill Race at Eschdorf. Now turn up your speakers, the car is not only quick but producing a glorious sound as well.

Audi 50 at Zolder Race Festival

Circuit Zolder in Belgium hosted the Youngtimer Trophy a week ago. The event was part of the Zolder Race Festival. Very beautiful and glorious Audi 50 cars were at the event. Here are some nice photos from our friends at Speed-O-Graphica.
