The Mercedes-Benz EQS once again makes its public appearance. The electric vehicle was recently spied while undergoing testing on the road, and we get a chance to get a good look at the upcoming car.
The prototype of the EQS remains in full camouflage in its latest spy video but we can already tell that Mercedes is doing a great job in keeping the production version of the EV close to its concept. Its maker released side-by-side pictures of the two last February so we already have an idea what to expect from the market-bound EQS.
A careful examination of the spy video shows that Mercedes placed some paddings beneath the camo to conceal the actual shape of the EQS. Nonetheless, its outline still looks great and quite curvaceous.
The prototype is highlighted by its short downward sloping bonnet. It seems Mercedes saved a lot of space under the car’s hood because of the lack of a conventional engine. The greenhouse area is quite long too. It’s almost like the layout of a shooting brake car, so it likely possesses a liftback much like the concept. That means a lot of legroom for the rear passengers and plenty of space for the luggage compartment of the auto.
The spy videos don’t give us a clear view of the EV’s interior but we expect the same level of articulation and tech in its cockpit with that of the next-generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class coming in September.
