Earlier this month at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show in Tokyo, Mitsubishi made the global debut of the new Mitsubishi Engelberg Tourer, which is a next-generation concept crossover SUV. Aside from its futuristic styling and sleek appearance, what stands out about this impressive new vehicle is that it showcases the Mitsubishi brand’s efforts to offer advanced electrification and all-wheel control technologies in one impressive SUV.
Named for a well-known ski resort in Switzerland, the Engelberg Tourer looks to capture the panoramic views of its mountainous namesake, combining elegant design with unparalleled efficiency and performance.
Stylish and functional, the Engelberg Tourer will feature the Mitsubishi Twin Motor PHEV system found in the Outlander PHEV, which will provide next level electric power and all-wheel control technologies, which will allow this impressive SUV to offer driver excellent control in a variety of different weather conditions.
The all-new Mitsubishi Engelberg Tourer crossover SUV is expected to be part of the Mitsubishi brand’s initiative announced in late 2017 to increase the brand’s lineup. Since that announcement, updates to the Mitsubishi model line include the new Eclipse Cross, Outlander PHEV, and the redesigned Outlander and Outlander Sport.
