The new RCS features that arrived on Verizon Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL phones a few weeks back are disappearing from phones this afternoon.
Verizon customer service doesn’t seem to know what’s going on, but reports are coming in from all over. Not only are there multiple reddit threads with Pixel 3 owners no longer having access to the set of “Chat” RCS features, they are gone from our own Verizon Pixel 3 too.
Here is a running Verizon support thread on Twitter that we’ll be paying attention to. We’ll check with Verizon as well.
