Samsung’s Galaxy J4 Core is its second Android Go smartphone

Back in August of this year, Samsung introduced the Galaxy J2 Core, which marked the first smartphone from Samsung to take run Android Go.

Now it’s just over a couple of months later and we already have Samsung’s second Android Go smartphone. This is the Galaxy J4 Core and it makes a few key changes from the Galaxy J2 Core, but overall, these are very similar handsets. As for what’s new: The Galaxy J4 Core has 16GB of built-in storage, there is a 3300mAh battery under the hood, and the 6-inch display has a resolution of 1480×720.

The Galaxy J4 Core keeps the 1.4GHz processor, Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) software, and 1GB of RAM. There is an 8MP camera on the back and a 5MP front-facing camera. At the time of publication there is no word on a price or launch date for the Galaxy J4 Core.
