Motorola One Comes to the US With a Clean Android One Experience for $399

Motorola One Best Buy

Motorola One, an Android One phone with a notch and familiar industry design, will arrive in the US after all. After being announced back in August with only international availability, Motorola is bringing this device to Best Buy at a $399 price tag.

Why should you care at all about this device? Umm, I’m not sure. The overall list of features aren’t bad, plus Motorola is promising big things in the update department?

For specs, you’ve got a 2.0GHz Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB RAM, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 3000mAh battery, fingerprint reader, USB-C port, headphone jack (!), and dual rear 13MP cameras. It also features a 5.9″ display with notch and a 19:9 ratio, but it’s only 720p.

As for the OS, it is an Android One phone for so it runs the cleanest version of Android you’ll find. Motorola says it’ll get updates to Android P and Android Q, as well as 3 years worth of security patches. The weird thing there is that Android P has been out for three months and yet this phone still runs Android 8.1.

This is a GSM-only phone, so it won’t work on Verizon or Sprint. AT&T and T-Mobile customers are the target here.

The Motorola One comes in white or black, is up for pre-order now at Best Buy, and ships November 9.
