Video: Montblanc Summit 2 Unboxing and First Look!

MontBlanc Summit 2

The Montblanc Summit 2 arrived this week as the first Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 powered Wear OS. We grabbed one because not only are we Android fans, we like a good watch too, and this guy happens to have a lot to like. The price certainly isn’t one of ’em, but we figured it was worth it to dive into what could be the beginning of a Wear OS revival.

To recap, the Montblanc Summit 2 features that Snapdragon Wear 3100 with lower power co-processor for longer battery life and special Time Only and Sport modes (in the future). It also allows for better always-on watch faces with more color that make for a better looking watch when not in use.

For specs, this watch includes a 1.2″ full circle AMOLED display (390×390, 327ppi), 340mAh battery, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, heart rate sensor, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi, and 5ATM water resistance. The case weighs in at a nice 42mm with sapphire glass on top and comes in silver steel, black steel, bicolor steel, or titanium. It also houses two pushers on each side of a rotating crown.

This watch costs $995 to start and tops out at around $1,230 depending on how you configure it.

Should you buy one? Well, we’re just now beginning our review, so I don’t have those kinds of thoughts to share yet. It’s expensive and might not even but something most will consider. I am excited to dive in, though, because it looks really great on wrist, has the perfect case size, and should showcase the latest in Wear OS with that new Wear 3100 chipset on board.

Below, we’ve got our unboxing video with full tour, as well as a bunch of images.
