If you want to keep up with different businesses, Google now offers an option to follow businesses on Google Maps so you will get updates on events, sales, and more in the “For you” tab.
Google is also offering business owners the chance to make a free business profile up to 3 months before the business will open. Google Maps will then display these businesses with an opening date to build interest.
The follow button is now available to everyone, and the early business profile feature is now rolling out over the next few weeks. The sign up page for businesses can be found here. Google has been killing it with Maps updates the last few months!
